Picto Owl Privacy Policy

Picto Owl has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. It does not collect personal information from children or from anyone else. Your schedules and photos stay on your device. The only data that leaves the device is the record of an in-app purchase, handled anonymously so the Full version can be unlocked and restored.

The app remembers your choices: your schedules and their picture cards, the names you give them, each schedule's reward, the first-then board, the language, the volume, the animations setting and whether background music is on. They are stored only on your device, are never sent anywhere, and are deleted when you delete the app.

If you choose to make a picture card or a reward from one of your photos, or to put a child's photo on a schedule so a child who cannot read yet can find their own day, the app opens your photo library for that one photo, and only when you ask. The photo you pick is copied into the app's own storage on your device, is never uploaded or sent anywhere, and is deleted when you delete the app. A child's photo on a schedule stays on this device and is not added to the printed schedule. The app never uses the camera.

No sign-up or login. No advertising and no advertising identifiers. No analytics or usage tracking. No access to the camera, the microphone, your location or your contacts. No chat, no links to social networks and no content from other users.

Purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play. They handle the payment; I never see or receive your payment details, name or email.

To unlock the Full version and let you restore it on another device, the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase management service. The app sends it an anonymous, randomly generated identifier and the record of your purchase from the store (which product, when, and the store's receipt). This identifier is not linked to your name, email or any contact information, and this data is not used for advertising or tracking. As with any internet connection, RevenueCat's servers also receive the technical data needed to answer the request, such as the device's IP address. RevenueCat's own policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.

Even if you never buy the Full version, the app contacts RevenueCat at launch to check whether a previous purchase exists, with the same anonymous identifier.

Picto Owl is made for children and is designed so that a child can use it without sharing anything. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The purchase screen is behind a parental gate (a question for adults), so a child cannot open it by accident.

You can delete everything the app stores on your device at any time by deleting the app. To ask about the anonymous purchase record held by RevenueCat, write to contact@hakolkal.com.
